Renewing your TIE in Spain: the fingerprints appointment

Renewal means going back for fingerprints, and that means finding an appointment. This is the single hardest slot to get in Spain, and the one we are asked about most.

Why this appointment is so hard to get

Fingerprints for TIE renewal is the highest-demand procedure in the system, and in the largest provinces the imbalance between demand and released slots is severe. Slots are released without warning and taken within seconds. Checking manually a few times a day does not work, which is why an automated watch exists at all.

We will not pretend otherwise: in several provinces our own monitoring has gone weeks without recording a single opening. When that happens, no service on earth can find you an appointment — the appointments do not exist. What we can do is make sure that when one appears, you hear about it in seconds rather than never.

What we actually do

Continuous monitoring of the official ICPPlus site for your province, and an instant alert by email, Telegram and — on VIP — SMS. You book it yourself. Booking on your behalf would be illegal and we do not do it.

Frequently asked

Can I renew in a different province?

No. Article 209.11 of RD 1155/2024 ties the procedure to the office handling your file.

My TIE already expired. Is it too late?

You can apply up to 90 days after expiry. Apply as soon as you can, and keep the proof of application.

Do you guarantee an appointment?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. We guarantee the alert. If we never send you one during the monitoring period, you get a full refund.
