How to book an appointment on ICPPlus, step by step

ICPPlus is the Spanish government's booking system for immigration procedures. It is not intuitive, it times out, and it usually ends in 'no appointments available'. Here is the whole flow and where it goes wrong.

The nine steps

StepWhat it asksWhere people get stuck
1Choose your provinceMust be the province handling your file
2Choose the procedureThe list changes by province — the option may simply not be offered
3Enter NIE/passport and full nameName must match your document exactly
4Confirm your details
5Availability checkThis is where it ends for almost everyone: "no hay citas disponibles"
6Choose office and slotOnly reachable when slots exist
7Enter contact detailsEmail and phone for the confirmation
8Solve the CAPTCHAThe session expires quickly here
9Confirm and save the receiptScreenshot it. The email sometimes never arrives

What "no appointments available" really means

It does not mean appointments are gone forever. It means there are none at this second. Slots are released in batches at unpredictable times — early morning, mid-afternoon, weekends — and in high-demand provinces they are taken within 60 to 120 seconds. The message you see is a snapshot, not a verdict.

Things that genuinely help

WhatWhy
Have every document ready before you startThe session expires while you look for a number
Type your name exactly as in your passportMismatches fail at step 3
Do not open several tabs at onceIt invalidates your session
Try outside peak hours as wellBatches are released at all hours, including nights and weekends
Screenshot the confirmationThe confirmation email is unreliable

Things that do not help

Refreshing manually all day does not work — you would have to hit the exact 60-second window by luck. Nor does paying anyone who claims they can get you an appointment: nobody can, because only the administration decides when slots exist. Automated booking is illegal, and any service offering it is a risk to you, not just to them.

What we do instead

We run the availability check continuously for your province and procedure, and the instant a slot appears we alert you by email, Telegram and — on VIP — SMS, so you can complete steps 6 to 9 yourself while the slot is still there. We watch; you book. If we never manage to send you a single alert, you get your money back.

Frequently asked

Is using an alert service legal?

Yes. Watching a public page and telling you what it says is legal. Booking or hoarding appointments is not, and we do neither.

How quickly do I have to act?

Assume 60 to 120 seconds. That is why the VIP plan adds SMS.

Which procedures do you watch?

Fingerprints for TIE, NIE assignment, TIE collection, EU registration certificate and return authorization, across the 52 provinces.
